I know blast the pop was the song comped from this but , I always liked tomorrow a little more . I had a hard time finding anything on this band . If you have any info please share it with us . The Local Heroes were formed in 1979, and they were an amalgamation of two other local bands Physical Wrecks and Cry Tough, bringing together a glam rock sound. Members included John Kay, guitar and vocals, Colin Schofield, drums and Ken Park, bass and vocals. The band found favour with Manchester DJ Mark Radcliffe who liked their demo tape, recorded under the name of Beans and the Toasties, so much that he later played a session from the band on Manchester's Radio Piccadilly. It was this brief taste of fame and fortune that prompted the band to change their name to Local Heroes.
Welcome to Shotgun Solution.
I use this Blog to share my passion for records, and underground music. If your not into having your record featured here, or if you just want to contact me, you can do so here.
Unfortunately, all of my pre 2/19/12 online files were lost during the takedown of Megaupload. I hope to eventually fix all of my broken links in time. But until then, if there's something you really want to hear I’ll consider requests.
Records I'm Looking For
Here's a few records I wouldn't mind adding to my collection; some rare, some not so rare. Please click on the Records link to see them. If you have an extra copy to sell me or maybe even trade; I would love to hear from you. Maybe you can even point me in the direction of someone who may have a copy to sell. I would prefer to "buy"; although I may still have a few things I might be willing to part with; my collection is pretty condensed these days..
