Killerwatt (S/T Single)

Killerwatt were from the San Francisco area, I think this may have been their only single. It was produced by Tubes founder, Bill Spooner, On Our way back home is Powerpop, while Main Idol has a harder edge to it. After Killerwatt, Scotland born lead vocalist Ken Cameron, played around LA in various bands, and eventually became the house sound engineer at Madame Wongs in Chinatown until it burned down, he now owns a Guitar and Ukuleles store in Hilo, Hawaii . Bass Player Terry Nails would later go on to bands such as: The Steve Jones Band, Ozzy Osbourne, Bone Angels, and Hard Luck. Keyboard player, Jesse Bradman went on to play with: Eddie Money, Aldo Nova, Keel, and Night Ranger. Drummer, Paul Zahl, went on to The Yanks, and The Flamin' Groovies. I couldn't find anything on Guitarist George Falbo, Here's Ken Camerons MYSPACE PAGE, it has some info, as well as a link to his store. As usual any additional info or corrections are welcome.

Thanks much for this. I thought I knew most of the Bay Area 77-81 bands but this one escaped.

Before The Yanks, Paul Zahl was drummer for the cool SVT with Jack Cassidy (Jefferson Airplane & said Yanks). Their local hit was "Heart of Stone" - well worth hearing if you haven't. On YouTube.

Cheers!

8I have lost touch with George Falbo after he told me he was moving to Florida with his mother. Please have him contact me on FB, also. Name: Lucinda Ouart (that's an "Oh", not "Quart" with a "q"-common mistake)I remember seeing you in George's and yours apartment in Hollywood, CA

Hello. Having been many years since I’ve thought of my cousin Georgie and his music, I Googled his name, and surprisingly found a number of links regarding the band. One of those links led me to this blog, and memories of the band. I noticed that you asked if anyone knew of his whereabouts; I want to let you know that unfortunately, Georgie passed in 2000 (age 48) due to complications of diabetes. He was living in Florida, still involved with horses. He’s back home now in NY, buried alongside his father in St. John’s Cemetery in Queens. Thanks for thinking of my cousin; I’m sure he would have appreciated it. Good friends are important. Enjoy the holiday, keep rocking. Anthony Falbo (tonyfalbo222@gmail.com)

Hello all! My name is April Hester and I think my husband Joshua Hester Falbo may be George's son. We have been looking for him, and Josh's mom, Madeia Hester, confirmed he was apart of this band. Anthony we are so sorry to hear of his passing, but we'd love to get in contact with you. Are you in Los Angeles? I will also try emailing you.
