The Newtoys were a Buffalo, N.Y. four piece that formed in 1979, originally as The Toys. They released one single as The Toys in 1980. In 1982 the band changed their name to The NewToys, released this LP, and relocated Staten Island. They continued as The NewToys for a couple more years, before disbanding sometime around 1984.

In February of 2010, Glorify The Turd posted the Say It album and not only does it not have any of the tracks you posted on it, it sounds like a completely different band.
I wasn't familiar with that one, I checked my file, and it seems ok.
Ahem.. welcome back. dig this one.. never heard it before.
Thanks George
Thanks a million for this one. I have been trying to buy it on ebay for years but never won the bets!
POPPHIL
No problem Phil,Enjoy!
Looks like New Toys reformed and put out a new record in 2012 called "Made in Buffalo."
On youtube, the band says they felt like"Say It" never really captured their sound.
If you have time to re-up, I'd love to give it a listen.
Thank you!
Thanks for the info, I'll have to check it out. I'll see what I can do, being that it's an entire LP, it might be a while though.
Well I went over to Glorify The Turd, and that link for "Say It" still worked. I don't know if it's the same as what you have.
It doesn't have quite the same sound as "Livin' Fast" and "I'm Telling You Now" from when the band was just The Toys. But bands can evolve, change their sound.
If you don't have time for it, that's fine. I'm enjoying checking out the rest of your blog.
Cheers!
Thanks, I'll get around to it eventually; Enjoy!
This is a nice surprise, thanks!
My pleasure, Thanks for your comment!
A little gem. Thankx a lot.
Glad you like it Woody, thanks for the comment!
Can't believe I found "Say It" on youtube! I was really psyched to hear FYYB but the lp version was not there. Man, I listened to that album over and over in high school! I'm smiling right now thinking about it. Unfortunately, I did not take care of my vinyls and none survived.
I love you guys, thanks for being a great part of my life.....
Hi Polly, thanks for the comment.
We were one of Buffalos Best bands in the 1980s ...Kevin K

Thanks for commenting Kevin. Cool to hear you're still active! Love the record!
