The Moderns - (Protect And Serve LP)

Here's a three piece from Auburn, Alabama called The Moderns; they were around from 1980 through 1983. As far as releases go, there's this LP, and a cassette only release titled, "Jagged Edges"; I'm not sure if they released anything else officially or not. I Found This Facebook Page, containing some info, and a couple of cool unreleased songs for you to check out. If you go to the Imaginary Records Website, It looks like you may still be able to pick this, and the cassette up. Sorry about the lousy picture; my copies cover is a cut out, and pretty beat. It does however include a press kit; I included a picture from it.

Your welcome, thanks for the comment. You can post it if you want, I didn't post the whole record. There's other good tunes on it worth posting.

Wow, just came across this posting after finally checking the Facebook "insights" and saw that you had linked it. Thanks Frank!

I set up the FB page and have a lot more unreleased stuff that I will be posting once I figure out the best method to do so (since FB killed the old "Music" app that I had been using).

Hope the Fed shutdown of Megaupload doesn't kill your desire for updating the blog! And if you or anyone else needs any vinyl copies of "Serve And Protect" I'll be glad to send some your way!!

The Moderns indeed have a few other offerings and are also now working on a new album. The facebook page referenced above is no longer the page. The new facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/TheModerns.US

Check out the new single called No Suffering.
