MegaUpload

I hope everyone had a nice Holiday Season. Sorry I haven't been posting anything lately, or answering comments; (I really appreciate your support) I really haven't even been on my site much in the last month, I've been pretty busy, and to be honest; I've kind of lost my inspiration. I turned on my computer tonight to find that Megaupload has been shut down. If you would like to check it out, here's a LINK. I had over 500 records on that site, which I'm going to assume are all lost. So basically I lost my files, and I have no file hosting service anymore; which by the way was payed for through the fall. This is certainly a big blow to me, and this blog. I'm really not sure what I want to do, maybe it's time. I'm gonna sleep on it, and see what happens with these file hosting sites. The way the article sounds, I wouldn't be surprised to see them take down all the major file hosting sites, so even if I were to move to another one, it might just be a waste of money. Once again, no matter what happens; I'd like to thank all of the people who've supported this blog over the last few years. I met many cool people, and really learned allot about many bands, and records, that have been sitting in my collection for years. This blog really made collecting fun again.
Thank You !!
Frank

well, sorry to hear that,I understand your point, they are certainly complicating the things..
we will all lose a source of music that it's not avalaible in any other way in many cases, and that's such a shame.. I'm really down with all this megaupload thing, if they carry on closing down, how will we be able to get all this music?
anyway thanks for your time and effort

Cheers...shit happens,we're all know, but I'll hope soon or later mostly of bloggers find some solutions to feed our ears with tons of great music like they're do all this time...At first, try to find a host where You dear fellow bloggers can upload music just for listening without download link...that will be good too!
All the best and never give up!

Frank,
Hope you don't quit (one word: 'mediafire'). Megaupload was a pretty criminal organization and its take-down does not guarantee that other less-piracy friendly sites will follow.

Frank: I hate to see it all come to this...but all the blogs seem to be scrambling these days - and understandably too! Can you please resend me your address? I still owe you a CD! Larry Brown

Jeffen, you are just as much a criminal as Kim Dotcom.
Apple inc. put Kim in jail and Megaupload out of business because he was going to start MegaBox, a legal business in opposition to iTunes.
Apple is the criminal!!

Frank, I feel very bummed for ya. Let me be the umpteenth person to say that your site has exposed me to lots of stuff I never knew of before (and I've been into punk-type stuff for about 25 years!). I still remember the first time I stumbled upon your site- it was in late 2008 when I Google'd Cinecyde and your posting of their awesome 1st LP came up in the search results, and I have been enjoying the site ever since. Plus you have one of coolest pictures on your site banner! Hang in there.
