Gary Herrewig (4 - Gone Conclusions E.P)

I Picked this up a year or so ago fairly cheap. I knew who Gary Herrewig is and the seller had a sound file that caught my ear so I took a chance. I was happy with my purchase to say the least. Hurt You Too is my favorite song here, but they're all catchy. Goin' Back is a Gerry Goffin and Carole King tune made Popular by Dusty Springfield and the Byrds .
This is a solo effort from Gary Herrewig who was and I believe still is.. the Guitarist for the long time Powerpop outfit; Fairfax Virginia's Artful Dodger. If you would like to read more about them Check These Pages Out. Gary is joined by long time band mates Steve Brigida (Drums) and Peter Bonta (Keyboards).

Self Released 1985

Hi Jim, I guess you could say; I'm always on the hunt. I've been in love with music my whole life and as I grow older my affair (playing and listening) only seems to grow. It's one of the few things in my life that makes me happy. As long as I keep finding great records, I'm gonna keep digging. I hope the day never comes when there's nothing left; that would be a sad day. Thanks for the comment!

well, Frank, it's archaeologists like YOU that make fellow insane music fans like me happy! i think if the internet was around when i was in high school in the late 70's my head would've exploded! as it was, i'd read about all these great bands in Bomp, Trouser Press, NY Rocker, and have to send away, often to the band's themselves, to track down these precious pieces of vinyl! keep up the great work!

Artful Dodger were one of the most underestimated bands ever.
Finding out that one of their musicians put out an EP in 1985 is pure joy.
Thanks to you!

Hi Jim, I too had to send away for many things. As a matter of fact I refused to buy anything online for a long time. I felt sites like Ebay had ruined my hobby. I only purchased through stores, mail order, or record shows. I miss the thrill of the hunt under tables, or in the back room of some record store. I must admit though, once I gave in, buying online opened the world up to me. I too started to find records I had only read about. Anyway, glad you like the site, Thanks For The Comment!
