The Great Invisibles EP

The Great Invisibles appear to have been a five piece from Jacksonville Beach, Florida. For me, "Walk Home" is the stand out track here; It's a great slice of driving Pop Punk with a Farfisa, Arp 2600, Synth. The record looks to have been self released and unfortunately the net yields little else about the band. I did find a page for Arvid Smith, you can check out below.

Line Up -

Robin Poore - Guitar, Lead Vocals
Arvid Smith - Guitar, Ring Modulator
David Gall - Farfisa, Arp 2600, Backing Vocals
Bobby Grimes - Bass
Brian Cook - Drums

Invisible Music 1982

1. Private Collection
2. Walk Home
3. Unsung Heroes

I actually grew up in Jacksonville and had this record. These guys were the arty new wavers of the town, as heard on this disc. You are right, Arvid Smith was kinda the only member to have a prolific musical career of sorts. He was always involved in the Jacksonville Museum of Arts and Sciences and it's planetarium. Thanks for finding this and posting. I sure wish I hadn't traded in my copy so many years ago... sigh...

I led the band MAD LOVE in Jax and played several shows with THE GREAT INVISIBLES. Those were amazing times. I moved to Los Angeles in ‘83 to work in films. Now, 35 years later, I’ll be playing in Jax with my band URN on 07/26/2018!

Thanks for the info Cleve, how did the show go? I see you're into monster makeups. I've always been a fan of horror movies. My daughter and I really enjoyed Face Off. There were some really cool makeups on that show.
